The technology constantly improves. Parsers become more accurate. Techniques evolve. Consequently, we need to understand that we will always find some level of variation in our studies.
This variability is part of doing corpus linguistics, and it is a constant reminder that we must always question our assumptions, replicate our studies, and test our logic to ensure that we are making the most of the tools we have to increase the reliability and validity of our studies.
